During his working life, he hardly had time for drawing and painting. After his retirement, it has become his great passion and pastime.
Two different worlds
Born in Indonesia and raised in the Netherlands, he always felt like he was living in two worlds with two different cultures.
Passion and admiration for nature
He has always been interested and fascinated by the overwhelming phenomena of nature. Adventurous travels and mountain climbing brought him closer to nature and indigenous cultures.
